Tamara Neuffer is the Outreach and Education Coordinator for the Stillaguamish Tribe Natural Resources Department and graduated with honors from Huxley College of the Environment, Western Washington University. Her focus is teaching hands-on interactive salmon habitat protection, water quality and climate change lessons in local schools. She organizes and leads field trips, hatchery tours and stewardship events with local schools and organizations. She delivers public presentations and workshops on the cultural and ecological importance of native plants and trees, the life cycle and habitat of Pacific Salmon and local impacts of Climate Change. She is the festival coordinator for the annual Stillaguamish Tribe Festival of the River and Pow Wow and works with Stillaguamish tribal youth on fishing and hunting treaty rights and natural resources education.
