SWS Monthly Meeting Speaker: Learn about Bats with Meg Lunnum
Meg Lunnum of Bats Northwest and Happy Valley Bats (rehab facility in Happy Valley) near Stanwood. Meg is a Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife permitted wildlife rehabilitator specializing in bats. As such, she applied for and received a grant to build a bat infirmary. This special building was much appreciated when she received 10 baby bats in 2009. Meg has been going strong ever since. She is active with Bats Northwest and teaches children and adults of all ages about bats and their habitat.
