groupwalk - header

This newest Island County park has been open for a year. The walk is about 2.5 miles. Great views, wetland, viewing platforms and benches fill this trail experience. The park continues to expand! A trip down to the beach at the east end of the park, is on a fairly steep gravel road. The group will move slowly for this early on experience. Note: there are 2 new bench “rest stops” on the way up. The rest of the walk is mostly level with slight gain areas.

From Terry’s Corner take Sunrise Blvd and follow for 2 3/4 miles to end of road. The parking area is straight at the end of Sunrise Blvd.

From the south on Camano Island via East Camano Road: turn right (west), on Russell Road (by the large storage units). When you get to Sunrise, turn right and head south to the end and into the parking for Barnum Pt.

The pace is moderate and the walks take place rain or shine. Walks are cancelled if there is snow or extremely high winds. Walkers are asked to wear clothing appropriate for weather conditions including sturdy shoes or boots.

Please – no dogs on these guided walks.
