Description
Sound Water Stewards invite you to a virtual Town Hall to learn about the SWS Annual Training program in 2022. Training is required to become a member and consists of 14 weeks of Thursday zoom classes (8 weeks in spring, 6 weeks in fall) plus field trips and beach time. The highly-acclaimed training adds up to 100 hours. Classes cover estuaries and salmon, forests and wetlands, plankton, forage fish and eelgrass, coastal geology and much more. All focused on Island County shorelines and ecology.
The Town Hall is an opportunity to meet Stewards, hear about their work, and answer questions. Get details and register to attend at SoundWaterStewards.org/training. Sound Water Stewards are trained volunteers working in and around Island County for a healthy, sustainable marine environment through education, science and stewardship.
