"The Presidency in the Age of Lincoln"

The Camano City Schoolhouse is proud to present a lecture by Dr. Richard Hanks.  Richard was born in Beardstown, Illinois on August 4, 1951.  As a Hanks (Lincoln’s mother was a Hanks) Lincoln was an omnipresent figure in his household.  Richard’s father’s courtroom was the site of Lincoln’s famous murder case known as the “Almanac Trial.”  His research has documented Lincoln’s interaction with members of his family, some of whom were appointed to government positions during the Civil War.  The schoolhouse is located at 993 Orchid Road, Camano Island, just off Chapman Rd.  You won’t want to miss it!
